PHOTOS Retro ‘Total Film’ magazine covers for X-Men: First Class
Apr - 02 | AUTHOR: Asa Hawks |

X-Men First Class Total Film magazine cover

The new issue of Total Film magazine features a cover story on X-Men: First Class with the headline, “History in the making: X-Men: First Class, Inside Marvel’s mind-blowing mutant epic.”

But the real story isn’t the story, but the cover itself! Or should I say, the covers themselves because the issue boasts four different covers, three of which are joyfully retro-stylized and feature individual shots of James McAvoy as Professor Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto) and a full-length shot of the much-talked-about January Jones in her XXX-Men lingerie-inspired Emma Frost / White Queen costume!

January Jones in her Emma Frost costume on the June 2011 cover of Total Film

All of the alternate covers are dated 1962 and mimic periodicals of the time such as Charles Xavier’s faux LIFE cover with the headline, “PROFESSOR CHARLES XAVIER – Inside The Mutant Menace:”

Total Fil retro X-Men: First Class Profesor Charles Xavier cover

And here is Michael Fassbender’s Magneto cover with the headline, “Checkmate: The magnetic moves of Erik Lehnsherr:”

Total Film X-Men: First CLass magazine cover with Magneto Erik Lehnsherr

These are wonderfully fun and extremely well-designed pieces and I want to say “Kudos to Total Film” for putting them together! If you want to enjoy more of Total Film’s FANatical coverage of the silver screen, hop on over to amazon and get yourself a subscription now!

Here’s the X-Men: First Class trailer to help occupy your time while you wait for the June 3, 2011 release!

Total Film Magazine Goes Retro Cool with Swingin' 60s X-MEN FIRST CLASS Covers
9 Posted on Apr 2, 2011 in articles by Paul Montgomery |

The June issue of Total Film magazine hired advertising icon Salvatore Romano to conjure some vintage flair for a special X-Men First Class feature. The magazine features a normal cover as well as three different retro covers, each showcasing one of the film's stars. You've already zeroed in on January Jones as Emma Frost, but once you've set down the smelling salts you'll notice a debonair Michael Fassbender as the magnetic Erik Lehnsherr and an illustration of James McAvoy as Charles Xavier. Check 'em out, courtesy of Starcasm.

These might be too classy for the powder room.

X-Men First Class hits theaters on June 3rd.

Retro X-MEN FIRST CLASS Magazine Covers From Total Film

Posted on 03 April 2011 by Rich Drees

Normally, I’m not much of a fan of just posting a magazine cover if they have some new movie photo. But the part of me that like retro-60s cool, the part that is really jonesing to see the period-set X-Men: First Class, really likes the three alternative covers that Britain’s Total Film magazine will be sporting for their latest issue. (via CineWebRadio)

As you can see, one features January Jones as Emma Frost on a Vogue-styled cover, James McAvoy as Professor Charles Xavier on a cover that riffs the iconic look of Life magazine and Michale Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto on a Vanity Fair-esque cover. You can click on each one below for a larger look.

‘X-Men: First Class’: Vintage-Style Magazine Covers, Plus Many New Story Details

Posted on Monday, April 4th, 2011 by Russ Fischer

Total Film has a new cover story on X-Men: First Class, and the magazine has created a bonus for those who purchase: a series of three vintage-style covers that emulate the classic styles of mags such as Life and Esquire. They’re great ways to get across the swinging ’60s vibe of First Class. And damn, but Michael Fassbender’s cover makes him look like a pretty ideal possible James Bond successor.

There’s a gallery with the covers right after the break, and then a rundown of quite a few new plot details that have broken over the past couple days as various people involved in the film have talked to the press. Consider those details all mildly spoilerish at least; if you want to be surprised by the film just check out the great cover gallery and move on.

Here are the covers, via The Daily Blam. The fourth is the actual modern Total Film cover. Kinda pales in comparison to the others, doesn’t it?

And then there are the story details. I’m going to do some quick bullet points here, because there’s a good amount of little stuff. Again, pass over all this if you’re spoiler-averse. These details come via Empire and Facebook.

* Oliver Platt says his character, the Man in Black, is head of a secret CIA division “devoted to investigating the application of mental telepathy and paranormal power in military defense.”
* Oliver Platt also explains that “Charles and Mystique become ensnared with the Agency, the Man in Black diverts them to his division with a deft bureaucratic sleight of hand. Erik soon joins them and The X-Men flourish under MIB’s protection.
* The film opens with a young Magneto in Auschwitz, a scene we’ve seen in X-Men, more or less, but this time Sebastian Shaw is on the scene, urging Magneto to use his powers.
* We’ll also see very young Xavier and Mystique meeting one another.
* Michael Ironside reportedly cameos, though we don’t know who he plays. I’m hoping it is Leland, a Hellfire Club associate of Sebastian Shaw.
* Matthew Vaughn was “adamant” that Moira McTaggart be American, though the character is Scottish in the comics. We’ll see her relationship with Xavier, but won’t get a view of Muir Island, her home in the comics.

'X-Men: First Class': Fan-made titles have us way too excited

By Mikey O'Connell

April 6, 2011 7:51 PM ET

People of the Internet, how did you get so creative?

Vulture points us to some fan-made opening titles for the upcoming "X-Men: First Class," and we're sort of in love. Not only does it appeal to our nostalgic sensibilities, it gives us another excuse to post a picture of star Michael Fassbender.

Patching together Hitchcockian stencil-work, pictures of the cast and iconic images of '60s events to set up the "Bay of Pigs" storyline, the sequence raises the bar for what we expect to see in theaters.

Vimeo user Joe D!, who created the video had this to say: "This sequence was designed to give a very brief primer on the time period, the setting, as well as show the relationships of the characters in this film, as they are very different from the previous movies and audiences shouldn't be confused as to why Professor X and Magneto, enemies in the original trilogy, are the best of friend in this prequel."

Check out this awesome side by side comparison picture of both the older and younger versions of Xavier & Magneto!

Based on this image, I can totally buy James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender as younger versions of Prof X. and Magneto. What do you guys think?

“X-Men” scans give mighty look at Marvel mutants
By: Sean O'Connell

Hollywoodnews.com: We are just a few weeks away from the start of the summer film season, which kicks off on May 6 with Paramount’s introduction to the Marvel superhero, “Thor.”

Shortly after that, however, another Marvel team of heroes will receive a brand new introduction as 20tht Century Fox tries to reboot its “X-Men” franchise with an origin story set around pre-established characters Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender). Will it work? I certainly trust in director Matthew Vaughn, who helmed “Kick-Ass” and the underrated “Stardust.”

This morning, Total Film (courtesy of ComingSoon) has an in-depth feature on the film with scans of the young mutants in period garb. Check it out here.

We’ve also got the latest “First Class” trailer posted below.

Vaughn has a great cast, including McAvoy, Fassbender, Rose Byrne, January Jones, Kevin Bacon, Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence, Oliver Platt and Zoe Kravitz. It opens everywhere on June 3.

New X-Men: First Class One Sheet
Meet their new nemesis: Photoshop

19 April 2011 | Source: 20th Century Fox

Don't get us wrong here, X-Men: First Class is a film that we're very much looking forward to. But while Matthew Vaughn's mutant tale has produced some extremely promising trailer footage and has one of the tastiest casts around, this poster smacks of near-fatal Photoshopping.

Just take a look at this latest one-sheet from the prequel/reboot. No, we don't remember the cast being composed entirely of hobbits either. Nor their heads being far too big for their bodies.

Then there's the general lack of necks on most of the mutants here, the perennial problem of the disappearing shadows / reflections on the floor, and a general lack of co-ordination, walking-wise.

We're kind of hoping that someone accidentally sent out the rough draft of this poster, to be honest. Otherwise it appears that we may have another submission for Empire's Ultimate Collection Of Badly Photoshopped Movie Posters, and no-one wants that.

Check out the poster below, but don't be put off. We reckon it'll still be worth getting in line when X-Men: First Class hits screens on June 1.

New X-Men First Class Poster Pushes The Limits Of 7th Grade Photoshop Skills discussion0 Comments published: 2011-04-19 08:07:06 Author: Will LeBlanc

Here's a brief word of advice to movie marketers regarding the evolution of the movie poster in the last decade or so: just because Photoshop exists, does not mean you have to overuse it. Of course it’s going to get used for some touching up and to add some neat text and whatnot, but poorly superimposing the heads of your actors on to body doubles is not the proper application of the program.

Unfortunately for them, that’s exactly what the marketing team behind X-Men: First Class have done with this atrocious excuse for a one sheet. Not only are most of their heads disproportionate to their bodies, but it would seem that the person or persons behind this poster only recently started learning about the most remedial application of standard reflections.

If the poster you release is going to look this bad, at least put Rose Byrne and January Jones in the foreground to distract us from James McAvoy’s “Come Hither” stare. Would it really have been that hard to put the actors in these poses and snap actual pictures of them? Call me old fashioned. The excessive Photoshop plight is spreading rapidly throughout Hollywood marketing, but there is a solution-- stop it. Just cut it out. Thanks to Empire, who agree this is Photoshop gone wrong, for the poster.

New Poster for X-Men: First Class Revealed

* April 20th, 2011 11:09 am ET

Hanako M. Ricks

* Atlanta Sci-Fi Movies Examiner

New faces for the upcoming film X-Men: First Class are revealed as a new promotional poster began making the internet rounds earlier this week. Previous posters, which included shadowy images of the main characters, Professor Xavier (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender), had been largely panned by both fans and critics alike, with one popular website stating the images looked as if they had been “photoshopped by a ten-year old”.

In addition to Professor X and Magneto, the latest characters featured on the new image include those of a young Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Dr. Moira MacTaggert (Rose Byrne), Emma “White Queen” Frost (January Jones), Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon), and Hank “Beast” McCoy (Nicholas Hoult).

X-Men: First Class is a prequel to the recent X-Men franchise, and will give fans a beginning perspective of the mutant struggle, as it chronicles the origins of the complicated friendship between Charles Xavier and Erik Lendsherr (who later adopts the moniker Magneto). Once united in a common goal to help their fellow mutants, the two friends slowly take opposing positions as Charles’ desire for peace between mutants and humans conflicts with Erik’s assertion that mutants are more superior than humans and should therefore be in control. Thus, the battle between Professor X’s “X-Men” and Magneto’s “Brotherhood” is born.

X-Men: First Class will be released in theaters on June 3, 2011.

New X-Men: First Class Poster
Comic Books, Movies | Jessie Anne | April 20, 2011 3:08 pm

The newest promo poster for New X-Men: First Class was released yesterday, and instead of uping the hype of the movie, it seems the response has gone in quite the opposite direction.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time teaser posters for the movie have been released to less than stellar buzz around the Internet. In the beginning of March two character posters came out of Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Xavier (James McAvoy). Critics, and fans, bashed the over edited photos of the two. In addition, two more posters uploaded to the movie’s Facebook page added more speculation about the quality of the designers, and the need to get the photos done in hurry.

Folks over at Empire say this is the work of the graphic artist: “Then there’s the general lack of necks on most of the mutants here, the perennial problem of the disappearing shadows / reflections on the floor, and a general lack of co-ordination, walking-wise.”

What do you think about the posters? Are they turning you away from wanting to see the movie, or are they making June 2nd not come fast enough? Or are shots like the one’s shown in yesterday’s post helping ease the worries about the film the posters have caused?

Personally, I’m more excited that I get to see Mr. Rochester, Michael Fassbender, as Magneto and can forgive the not-so-awesome graphic design.

Michael Fassbender Uses Acting Super Powers In New ‘X-Men’ Photo

Magneto might be the Master of Magnetism, but Michael Fassbender is the Master of Teeth Gritting and Scrunching Up His Face. Look at him move something with his magnet-powers in this new still from X-Men: First Class below. It’s clearly hard work, though James McAvoy as Professor X seems to think whatever Magneto’s doing is kinda awkward. As if to say, “ha, okay Magneto. I said I want to build bridges and you’re moving a bridge. So… let’s put the bridge down and maybe hang out at the mansion? Not move stuff humans need?”

Here’s another mutant leak, and I’m not referring to Nightcrawler’s green piss. (I’m assuming he pisses green, though I really have no idea.) YouTubers are struggling to keep a not-yet-released TV spot for X-Men: First Class online, but Marvel and co. keep bringing it down. If the video is still up, you’ll see a little new footage, plus the old footage you love, and a tagline saying there’ll be a new trailer on the movie’s Facebook. I wish I had the power to keep lawyers from tearing this off-line, but not even mighty Apocalypse can battle high-powered lawyers.

New 'X-Men: First Class' Image Is Using It's Mutant Abilities
By Melissa Molina on April 18, 2011

New 'X-Men: First Class' Image Is Using It's Mutant Abilities "X-Men: First Class" needs some more promotional love, as in dishing out new images, videos, etc. That's why it's cool to see Twentieth Century Fox push out a brand new image for their shiny new prequel. Matthew Vaughn directs the latest installment of the super-profitable movie franchise based off the great comic books created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

The cast for "X-Men: First Class" includes Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Rose Byrne, Kevin Bacon, January Jones, Nicholas Hoult and Zoe Kravitz. You can check out the homo superiors on the big screen this June 3rd.

Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-MEN.

The gang’s all here in this new poster and image from ‘X-Men: First Class’

Here’s a new one sheet poster and image from one of the summer’s least-anticipated movies, X-Men: First Class. Yes, despite the online hype for the film, director Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men prequel is still an unknown quantity in the “real” world – for one, the film is a period piece, the movie has no bankable stars, and lastly Fox seem to have hired some of the most inept people to create their marketing materials, hence yet another photoshop abomination of a poster!

The poster came to our inbox direct from Fox, whilst the new image is another of MTV’s excusives from their Summer Movie Preview… Enjoy.

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

X-Men: First Class stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, January Jones, Rose Byrne, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Morgan Lily, Zoe Kravitz and Bill Milner. The film is released May 30th.

Cool new character banner and variant posters for X-Men: First Class, plus early look at Blu-ray set
By David Bentley on May 4, 11 08:24 PM

NEXT out of the gate in this year's superhero movie line-up is the prequel X-Men: First Class and the marketing materials continue to appear as we head towards its release.

First up is a cool new banner sent over by 20th Century Fox which, in my view, is one of the better character montages for the film. It's included in full below (what's above is just a slice of the image). Click on the image to make it much larger.

From left, we have Moira MacTaggert (Rose Byrne), Raven Darkholme aka Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Erik Lehnsherr aka Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and then, on the other side of the jet, the Hellfire Club, comprising Janos Quested aka Riptide (Alex Gonzalez), Emma Frost (January Jones), Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon) and the red-skinned teleporter Azazel (Jason Flemyng). I've had to scale down the image to feature it here - as I said, you can click on it to open a larger view, but the original was more than five times as big as that.

Two variant versions of the recent posters have surfaced online. One is the French version (as you can tell from the text on it), the other is a slightly different arrangement of a UK poster (basically, McAvoy is standing with the opposite foot in front).

And while the film isn't out anywhere yet, French website Fnac offers an early look at a DVD/Blu-ray set due out in October, as you can see in the image here. This particular set includes a T-shirt, character cards and comics.

20th Century Fox has released this new UK banner for X-Men: First Class featuring a good look at the characters in the June release. Directed by Matthew Vaughn, the action adventure stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, January Jones, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Morgan Lily, Zoe Kravitz and Bill Bilner.

X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. New X-Men: First Class Character Posters
Posted 05.21.11 by BrentJS

Here in the States, the poster marketing campaign for Matthew Vaughn's X-Men franchise prequel, X-Men: First Class, has pretty much focused on the patriarchs of the mutant movement, Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender), two friends who will grow to become enemies as Professor X and Magneto, respectively, because of their differing views about the role of mutants in the world. So far, Xavier and Lehnsherr have each received their own (pretty lame) domestic character posters, while none of the other mutants have been featured.

The same is not true of Fox's international marketing campaign for First Class, which so far includes better character posters for Xavier and Lehnsherr, as well as solo character posters for Emma Frost (January Jones), Havok (Lucas Till) and Beast (Nicholas Hoult), in addition to a second international character poster for Xavier (McAvoy). If you've been following First Class news, then you'll recognize the images used on the new character posters as those from the first, supposedly leaked, promotional image for the movie.

X-Men: First Class is based on the classic Marvel Comics superhero team created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby that first appeared in X-Men #1 (Sep. 1963). The screenplay was written by Jane Goldman from a story conceived by producer Bryan Singer, the director of the first two X-Men movies. The cast includes Caleb Landry Jones as Banshee, Oliver Platt as The Man in Black, Edi Gathegi as Darwin, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Jason Flemying as Azazel, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert and Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw.

20th Century Fox looks to be pretty excited for their upcoming X-Men: First Class if the recent outpour of promotional materials is any indication. Today sees the online debut of five new, international character posters (courtesy of IMP Awards and Yahoo! China), a brand-new behind-the-scenes featurette (thanks to Zodiac Trailers), and a new international TV spot.

Opening in theaters on June 3rd, X-Men: First Class is directed by Matthew Vaughn and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, January Jones, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Morgan Lily, Zoe Kravitz and Bill Bilner.

Charting the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, the film also reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

Check out the featurette and spot in the players below and the new posters beneath!

Scads of New 'X-Men: First Class' Movie Images Arrive

As many X-Men: First Class video clips that have cropped up online recently, sometimes fans just want a good ol' fashioned still image or 40 to properly absorb the cinematic looks of their favorite (and in some cases, least favorite) merry mutants. Twentieth Century Fox has most definitely obliged such desires today with the release of a few dozen stills shining the spotlight on Emma Frost, Azazel, Mystique, Beast and more literally colorful characters. There's also quite a few shots of well-dressed people just standing around looking hip in the '60s. Take a sip from this cocktail of stills after the jump.

Spinoff Online has more than 40 new images from “X-Men First Class,” the upcoming film starring James McAvoy as Professor Xavier of the X-Men. Nicolas Hoult’s Beast shows off his blue fur in one image, and January Jones as Emma Frost shows off her underwear in another.

The film also stars Michael Fassbender as Erik Lensherr, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven Darkholme/Mystique, Lucas Till as Alex Summers/Havok, Caleb Landry Jones as Sean Cassidy/Banshee and Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw.

The film is based on the early days of the “X-Men” saga; the X-Men were created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

The film is scheduled to open on June 3.

January Jones, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender in several new images from X-Men: First Class

We’re just a few weeks away from the debut of X-MEN: FIRST CLASS and the marketing machine is in full gear trying to get everyone excited. Personally, this is probably the film I’m most looking forward to this summer, only because I love the idea of setting a superhero movie in the 60′s. The entire cast looks like Don Draper with superpowers. Anyway, we have a slew of new images from the film, most of which are slight variations of what we’ve seen in the trailers or in one of the several TV spots.

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS stars James McAvoy as Professor X, Mike Fassbender as Magneto, January Jones as Emma Frost, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Edi Gathegi as Darwin, Lucas Till as Havoc, Caleb Landry Jones as Banshee, Rose Byrne as Dr. Moira MacTaggert and Jason Flemyng as Azazel. Matthew Vaughn’s film will hit theaters on June 3rd.

Magneto, Mystique & Riptide ‘X-Men: First Class’ Posters
May 22, 2011 by Rob Keyes

Three new ‘X-Men: First Class’ character posters surface, featuring Magneto, Mystique and Riptide.

X-Men First Class Posters for Riptide, Magneto and Mystique

The one-sheets released by Twentieth Century Fox thus far for X-Men: First Class have not been the film’s strongest marketing ploy, but after viewing a variety of trailers and TV spots, it didn’t matter. Now that we know the characters, the photos of them in costume have some meaning.

Over the last week, individual X-Men: First Class character posters have surfaced and we put together a gallery including Professor Charles Xavier, Angel Salvadore, Havok, Emma Frost, Beast and Azazel. Now we can add the familiar Magneto and Mystique alongside new character Riptide.

Mystique and Magneto were key characters in the main X-Men trilogy and we know where their story arcs take them in the future. X-Men: First Class explores their lives when they, alongside Charles Xavier, set out to group mutants, help them and give them purpose. Riptide on the other hand, is new to the series and his character’s history differs from that of Marvel Comics.

In the books, Riptide (Álex González) works for the infamous X-villain, Mr. Sinister, but in the film he is a henchman for Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon) instead. His powers however, remain the same as the books and he is able to control wind. His appearance in our brief glimpses of him thus far are reminiscent of fan-favorite Gambit with his long hair and suave style.

We still need Dr. Moira MacTaggert, Banshee, and Darwin to round out the set.

The X-Men: First Class cast includes James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Kevin Bacon, Jennifer Lawrence, January Jones, Rose Byrne, Nicholas Hoult, Jason Flemyng, Zoë Kravitz, Lucas Till, Oliver Platt, Ray Wise, Edi Gathegi, Caleb Landry Jones and Álex González.

X-Men: First Class hits theaters June 3rd, 2011.

8 New 'X-Men: First Class' International Posters and TV Spot
Monday, 23 May 2011 08:43 Written by Jordan DeSaulnier

We're less than two weeks away from the release of director Matthew Vaughn's prequel X-Men: First Class, and early word from those who've seen the film, including IAR's own Jami Philbrick, is every shade of positive. That news, while a relief, is likely to make the wait seem even longer for a long of X-fans out there, and we've got some goodies to stoke the fires of your anticipation. Eight new international posters highlight individual characters in the ensemble, while a new TV spot throws down with a lot of visual effects, action, and Michael Fassbender's Magneto making a bold statement.

Big thanks to IMPawards for culling these posters together.

Naturally, that first poster is James McAvoy as Charles Xavier. Moving down the line: Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Lucas Till as Havoc, Jason Flemyng as Azazel, Alex Gonzalez as Riptide, January Jones as Emma Frost, Zoe Kravitz as Angel Salvatore, and Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique.

And here's the promised TV spot:

X-Men First Class hits theaters on June 3rd, and it looks like it might just kickstart its own prequel series. We'll see in a matter of days.
