Michael Fassbender - Michael Fassbender 'Professional' About Sexy Outfits
26 May 2011 06:46:39 AM

Michael Fassbender tried to be as ''professional'' as possible when January Jones appeared in her barely-there outfits in 'X-Men: First Class'.

Michael Fassbender was concerned January Jones felt uncomfortable in her skimpy outfits on 'X-Men: First Class'.

The 34-year-old actor - who portrays Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto in the Marvel comic book prequel movie - felt sorry for the 'Mad Men' beauty, who is Emma Frost in the movie, and tried to be as "professional" as possible about the sexy costumes.

He said: "We were trying not to make an uncomfortable scenario for her - she was standing there in skimpy clothes and obviously there's a whole plethora of fans out there who get all excited about the prospect of that, so we were working with her as a professional."

The Irish hunk initially tried to base his performance on that of Sir Ian McKellen, who played Magneto in the previous 'X-Men' movies, until director Matthew Vaughn advised against it.

He added to BANG Showbiz: "At the beginning, when I found out I'd got the job, I started doing a lot of research, trying to get my hands on anything I could showing Ian as a young man on screen, to help me study his physicality and voice on screen.

"Then I sat down with Matthew Vaughn and we discussed it, and he said that wasn't the way he wanted it to go. At that point I ditched that idea totally and then just used the comic book source material that was available - I was spoilt really, there was so much of it there."
