Jane Eyre UK poster and trailer released

Everybody is familiar with the story of Jane Eyre; whether it be from watching feature length TV adaptations, movies, or even – god forbid- from reading the book (or at least reading summaries of the book online the day before the exam) Charlotte Bronte’s classic may have been adapted countless times but Cary Fukunaga has a lot going for his 2011 attempt…

For starters it has a stellar cast; with two up and coming actors in the lead roles – Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) as Jane and Michael Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds) as Mr Rochester. To make matters even better we’ve finally got access to the official uk trailer, and it looks like its going to be a dark adaptation befitting Bronte’s classic gothic novel. The American release has been met with critical and box office success (release of a British classic in the US first eh? Oh we see where we stand…) and so all we can do is wait until the 9th September to see if it gets the same response over here.
