Best of 2011: Who's the biggest badass of the year?

You may be feeling warm and fuzzy with the holiday season, but we’ll knock that right out of you with our polls crowning the biggest movie and TV badasses of the year. Let’s take a look at the movie nominees first:
Fast Five‘s Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson): If it was a battle of the biceps, sorry Vin Diesel, The Rock won.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes‘ Caesar (Andy Serkis): Honestly, he’s smarter than most main characters in action movies.
Drive‘s Driver (Ryan Gosling): To quote Lisa Schwarzbaum, “He enjoys the feel of a delicately notched toothpick between his lips while nimbly outmaneuvering cops on his tail. He never sweats, he’s so unflappable — even when beating a man to a pulp.”
X-Men: First Class‘ Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender): As Fassbender once put it, “I introduced jazz hands to a whole new level. It’s like jazz hands, influenced by constipation. And that was really my main influence for the physically of Erik Lehnsherr.”
Hannah‘s Hannah (Saoirse Ronan): She can handle a bow, a gun, and scenes opposite Cate Blanchett.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo‘s Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara): This time, allow us to quote Owen Gleiberman: “Even when Lisbeth is standing still, her whole look is really an act of violence, an assault against decorum. It’s her way of fighting to be noticed, with a suppressed scream that says, ‘Look at me — and stay away!’ She’s like Clarice Starling crossed with Joan of Arc crossed with a homeless, fingerless-gloved teen sociopath.”
Bad Teacher‘s Elizabeth Halsey (Cameron Diaz): With today’s restrictions on teachers, her behavior really was ballsy (and horrible).
A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas‘ Neil Patrick Harris (Neil Patrick Harris): He’s gay. Really. He just wants to massage your boobs as friends.
Horrible Bosses‘ Dr. Julia Harris, D.D.S. (Jennifer Aniston): Sexual harassment isn’t a joke. Except for this one time.
Colombiana‘s Cataleya (Zoë Saldana): She proved big guns aren’t just for boys.
Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol‘s Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise): Cruise doing many of his own high-flying stunts? Welcome back. The definition of badass.
