OVER 2,000 guests are attending Brian O’Driscoll’s testimonial dinner in London tonight.

This is the first red carpet appearance for the 34-year-old and his wife Amy Huberman since the birth of their daughter Sadie last month.

Amongst the guests attending the event in London’s Grosvenor House Hotel are Prince William, Voice coach and Script star Danny O'Donoghue, former Attorney General of Ireland Peter Sutherland, Hollywood actor Michael Fassbender, and One Direction singer Niall Horan.

Brian's fellow rugby teammates - including Johnny Sexton, Rob Kearney, Cian Healy, Shane Horgan and Ireland captain Jamie Heaslip - looked dapper as they arrived at the plush hotel dressed in their tuxedos.

Brian has not yet given any indication of his future plans for his career. However he was cited earlier today for a stamping incident at last weekend’s match against Italy.

Tickets for the star's testimonial dinner started at a whopping €680 for a green seat, with entertainment provided at the black tie event by Emeli Sande.

A substantial amount of the money raised from the event will be donated by Brian to his chosen charity - The Irish Rugby Football Union Charitable Trust, which helps severely injured rugby players in their everyday lives and helps to restore their confidence and independence.
