Does Sin City: A Dame to Kill For Have a Role For Michael Fassbender?

By: Russ Burlingame on February 28, 2013

Does Prometheus and X-Men: First Class star Michael Fassbender have a role in the forthcoming comic book adaptation Sin City: A Dame to Kill For?

It seems that might be the case–or at least one of the Sin City 2 cast seems to think so, with Jaime King having suggested as much in a new interview.

King–who also starred in Sin City and The Spirit for director Frank Miller–spoke with She Knows about the challenges facing the actors on Sin City, many of whom are starring on a green screen without any of their co-stars around–and along the way, she listed Fassbender among a list of cast members.

“It was really fun because I got to do the part that was in the comic book,” said King. “I was there the first day of filming when nobody else was cast except for Jessica Alba, Mickey [Rourke], and [Rosario Dawson]. None of the other people were cast so I was acting to someone’s hand. Imagine doing all your scenes with no one. Is it going to be Fassbender? Is it going to be Levitt? Brolin? It was a real trip.”

Of course, since King was already finished shooting Sin City: A Dame to Kill For in the same week that both Levitt and Brolin were announced as joining the film, so it’s possible that she had merely heared rumblings of a Fassbender appearance–one that never came to fruition–but there had been no rumors in the press about Fassbender joining the noir-flavored sequel, meaning that it’s likely she heard his name (rumored or real) from somebody involved with the production.
