Inspiring Faces – Michael Fassbender

Okay, so I’m a huge fan of the movie 300…and not just for the abs. It’s a wonderful story. My favorite scene is where the two warriors, including Stelios (Fassbender), go out ahead of the group, playfully slaughtering the invaders. I won’t spoil it, but I will say that it is a fantastically choreographed fight scene. True warriors in action. I’ve watched this scene over and over on my Blue Ray copy just to see the fighting.

And so, I owe the inspiration of a character that I haven’t written the story to yet–to Fassbender’s portrayal of Stelios in 300.

Fassbender is an awesome actor, and is a joy to watch on screen. He was one of the best in 300, and was also great in Inglorious Basterds. He was f*cking almost out of his mind as Stelios in 300, watch that scene where he's describing a "beautiful death" and not get chills, I dare you! He wasn't only pretty crazy, he kicked some major, MAJOR Persian ass in 300, and was a super bad-ass.

Fassbender is a total bad ass, his performance as Stelios in 300 cemented that for me. He kicked loads of Persian ass and was one of my favorite Spartans in the whole movie.
