‘Fifty Shades of Grey?’ Michael Fassbender’s never heard of it

After he bared all in “Shame,” Michael Fassbender was an inevitable candidate when casting rumors started about E.L. James’ sexy book trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey.

But the actor pleads ignorance.

“I don’t even know what that is,” Fassbender insists. “I’ve heard people saying stuff about my casting and it’s on the Internet. Honestly, I don’t know anything about the book or the character. Nobody has approached me.”

He laughs and adds, “It’s ‘Fifty Shades of Green’ in my world — that’s how much I know about it.”

Man of the moment Michael Fassbender has ruled himself out of playing Christian Grey, the sultry sadist business tycoon in the film adaptation of the erotic novel Fifty Shades Of Grey.

‘I haven’t even read the book,’ says the 35-year-old Irish-German actor, who bravely stripped for a controversial sex scene in the movie Shame.

‘You get your privates out and people assume you are some sex maniac.’
