Steven Soderbergh's Haywire Coming to Blu-ray in MaySteven Soderbergh's 2012 action-thriller Haywire will be headed to Blu-ray and DVD on May 1 courtesy of Lionsgate Home Entertainment.
Haywire is Soderbergh's followup to Contagion and stars mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Gina Carano, Channing Tatum, Ewan McGregor, Michael Douglas, Antonio Banderas, Bill Paxton and Michael Fassbender. Carano plays a black-ops agent double-crossed and left for dead by someone working within her own agency. She performs her own stunts and fights in a mission to survive more assassination attempts and ultimately stop whoever is after her.
Relativity produced Haywire for only $23 million and made that back plus change with $25 million in worldwide ticket sales after its January 20, 2012 theatrical release.
Lionsgate has not officially announced Haywire as of yet, but I can confirm the film will be presented in 2.35:1 1080p video and 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.
